Jeb Bardon, Wayne Township Trustee

Longtime community leader and small business owner Jeb Bardon was elected Wayne Township Trustee on July 9, 2022, following the resignation of the previous officeholder.

As Trustee, Bardon is committed to restoring trust and confidence in the office. He has brought in new leadership for the Wayne Township Fire Department and Trustee’s Office, put in place new measures to protect taxpayer dollars and ensure greater transparency, and redoubled the office’s public outreach efforts.

No stranger to public service, Bardon represented the city’s west side in the Indiana House of Representatives from 1998 to 2012. As a state legislator, he worked against predatory lending practices, the foreclosure of home mortgages and successfully led a bipartisan effort to create the Homeowner Protection Unit within the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.

In addition to running a family-owned business in the community, Bardon has taken on several volunteer roles over the last 30 years, including serving as a co-chair of the Little Eagle Creek Reconnecting Our Waterways Committee, as a board member of the International Marketplace Coalition, and as an involved parent and advocate for public education.

Bardon and his wife Kristie, who works in public education, have been married for more than 20 years and are the proud parents of two daughters. A graduate of Ritter High School and Purdue University, in his free time, Bardon enjoys history, genealogy and long walks with his family and their dog, Huddles.
